In Recognition of the Annual Khmer New Year Celebration.
Every year, the Cambodian American Student Association at UMass Lowell presents a community celebration of Khmer New Year for both the university community and the public. CASA promotes Khmer culture, tradition, and language. Not only is CASA a proud UMass Lowell representative on-campus, CASA acts as a student representative to the Khmer Community in Lowell, MA; the second largest Cambodian-American population demographic within the entire nation. CASA’s mission is to spread knowledge and awareness, advocate Cambodian culture and empowerment, and provide a welcoming and inclusive campus environment for students to actively contribute to the UMass Lowell campus community and the community-at-large.
Now, therefore, I, Mayor William J. Samaras, hereby offer all the best to the Cambodian American Student Association. The entire City of Lowell is proud to give thanks for your contributions to the UMass Lowell campus and the City as a whole.
Given this 14th day of April, 2018.
William J. Samaras,
